The essence of the CMO Blog is not so much about sharing news or updates on brand programs and activities but we seek to provide cutting edge analysis on pertinent marketing issues. We however, also seek to profile brands that are making a difference in communities not with their creative and artistic expressions of the brand but bringing real transformation. It remains our conviction that in this age we need brands that can make a positive difference in their customers lives, brands that ingrain purpose at the core.
The commemoration of International Women’s Day across the world presents opportunities for brands to leverage this special month and endear themselves to women. This year Total Zimbabwe has in our view done a fantastic job in providing special fuel queues for women in commemoration of Women’s Day. This gesture is laughable to those reading from outside Zimbabwean shores but to those local, this is incredibly huge and great opportunity for the brand to impact the community. Zimbabwe’s fuel issues are well documented and well done to the Total Zimbabwe marketing team for such a gesture that will sure create positive brand experiences.
On Monday 9 March Total Zimbabwe issued this post to the women, happy queueing!
